IALD Washington DC: Georgetown Glow 2023
Community members in the DC area are invited to join your local chapter for the 9th annual "Georgetown Glow" event with outdoor lighting installations on a fun walking tour.
Georgetown GLOW is returning for its 9th edition, with works lit from 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. nightly. The popular holiday celebration will feature national and international artists and their commissioned works, on display at outdoor locations throughout the Georgetown commercial district. Set against the historic backdrop of DC's oldest neighborhood, GLOW is the region's only free curated outdoor public light art experience. Established in 2014, the innovative exhibition has quickly become one of DC's most anticipated annual events.
Join the IALD Washington DC chapter for hot cocoa and an enlightening walk around the five installations!

Event Schedule (all times Eastern):
- 6:30 PM - Meet at LA Burdick Handmade Chocolates (on Wisconsin Ave NW) for treats and hot cocoa to-go
- 6:45 PM - Walk the Georgetown Glow route and experience the installations with the group or on your own time.
- 7:45 - 9:00 PM - Meet back at The Sovereign (at M St. and Wisconsin Ave) to enjoy some bites and drinks with lighting community friends!
Everyone is welcome to bring their kids and significant others to the event to experience the lighting installations together! (Anyone under 21 won't be allowed in the bar afterwards, but can enjoy hot cocoa beforehand.)
