IALD UK: Lighting the Elizabeth Line
Join your UK chapter for a presentation sponsored by Designplan Lighting of this IALD award-winning project with Keith Miller, Assoc. IALD, of Equation Lighting Design.
The Elizabeth Line was one of Europe's biggest construction projects, it is a 73-mile railway in south-east England. It runs from the west to the east of London, tunneling underground through central London. Ten new stations have been built for the central London section, which connects Paddington, Bond Street, Liverpool Street, and Canary Wharf. It was first conceived in the 1980s, canceled in the 1990s, and finally approved in the 2000s. Work began in 2009 and opened in 2022.
In a direct conversation with Keith Miller, Assoc. IALD of Equation Lighting Design, find out how lighting played an important role in this project that has just recently won a 2023 IALD Award of Merit.
