Join the IALD Rocky Mountain chapter for the most anticipated day of the year as we head "on a safari" up to Breckenridge for a great time on the slopes!
Safari on the Slopes: A Wild Ski Day Adventure!
Get ready to trade your snow goggles for binoculars and join us for the 2026 IALD Safari on the Slopes, a ski day where the mountain meets the savanna. Whether you're a snow leopard on the black diamonds or a chill giraffe cruising the greens, this is your chance to show off your wild side. So grab your herd, channel your inner adventurer, and let’s make tracks on this unforgettable expedition!
Theme and Contest
This year's theme is "Safari" -- think animal prints, khaki gear, and explorer vibes! We'll hold a Safari-themed costume contest with prizes for the best-dressed animals and explorers.
Meals Provided
- Breakfast (food and refreshments) will be provided in the morning.
- Lunch with an open bar will be included.
The Schedule
- 8:00 - 9:00 A.M.: Arrivals, breakfast, and announcements
- 9:00 - 11:30 A.M.: Morning activities (specific times will vary)
- 11:30 - 1:30 P.M.: Lunch
- 1:30 - 4:00 P.M.: Afternoon activities (specific times will vary)
- 4:00 - End: Apres-Ski (location TBD)
Non-Skiing Activity: Snowcat Tours!
Private snowcat tours will be held in the morning (10:00 A.M.) and afternoon (1:00 P.M.). Registrations for these two windows will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of eight (8) people per snowcat vehicle. If the number of registrations exceeds sixteen (16), an overflow tour will be added at 2:00 P.M..

IMPORTANT: The 'Early Bird' Registration Period

Information About 'Early Bird' Pass Delivery: If you register during this window, the IALD will purchase an Epic One-Day Pass for your use on January 30th, 2026. You will receive an email after the Early Bird registration period ends confirming that your pass has been bought, and will request more information from you.
Once received, you must then follow the link in the email to provide all necessary information (e.g., address, photo) to finalize and secure your Epic One-Day Pass. Failure to provide this information by November 30 will result in your pass being cancelled, and higher prices will apply. We will be sending out reminder emails during this period to ensure everyone stays on top of this.

Upon registration, the IALD will purchase your Epic One-Day Pass for use on January 30, 2026. If you are unable to attend the event, this pass is valid for one ski day during the 2026 season at any Epic Resort listed here. Passes and registration costs are non-refundable.
