With profound sadness, the IALD shares the passing of Victor Palacio, Past President and IALD College of Fellows member.
Victor was a visionary in the lighting design community, a leader whose passion and dedication shaped the profession. His long-standing membership and significant contributions to the IALD included roles as IALD President, Chair of the IALD Membership Committee, and member of the IALD Education Trust Board of Directors. As the founder of Ideas en Luz in Mexico City, he shared his passion for lighting with colleagues and the world.
For over 35 years, Victor dedicated himself to educating future lighting professionals through museum and architectural lighting courses and speaking at industry conferences, including IALD Enlighten, LightFair, and UNESCO's International Day of Light.
His immeasurable contributions, mentoring countless designers and elevating the profession globally, leave a legacy of excellence and inspiration.
