Three New IALD Region + Chapter Coordinators Announced

Local lighting design communities are shining brighter, as three new IALD members have volunteered as coordinators for the IALD Regions + Chapters.

  • Danielle Samuel, Design IALD joins the the IALD Washington D.C. Chapter
    • Danielle is a Senior Lighting Designer at CM Kling + Associates, bringing over six years of experience creating innovative lighting solutions for a range of architectural and design projects. Her project specializations include commercial, residential, mixed-use, government, places of worship, education, and hospitality.
    • Designing for social change is extremely important to Danielle, choosing Temple University to earn her Master of Architecture degree. She used the landscape of North Philadelphia and knowledge of her hometown to educate and inform others of the dangers of gentrification. Danielle is a Caribbean-American (Trinidad & St. Vincent) Brooklyn native who believes in the power of design and light in the built environment to create urban design and policies for social justice.
  • Ritesh Shah, Design IALD joins the IALD India Chapter
    • Ritesh is a founder & a principal lighting designer at Lux Light Designs, having 18 years of lighting experience focused on providing design services for Interior & Exterior Architecture, Façade & Landscape Architecture, and Sports & Utility areas, providing complete lighting design solutions along with all the required technical specifications.
    • Ritesh holds an F-MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University, along with many other certificates, and is a member of the IALD, IES, and LiDAI.
  • Shailee Trivedi, Design IALD joins the IALD India Chapter
    • Shailee is an experienced interior and lighting designer with over 20 years in the industry. She holds advanced degrees in Architectural Lighting Design and Interior Design from renowned institutions in Germany and Italy. Having led her design firm for a decade, Shailee has worked on over 500 projects across diverse sectors, including commercial, retail, and hospitality.
    • She frequently speaks at global design conferences and has earned numerous accolades, including the IIID Anchor Awards and the Artist in Concrete Awards. Shailee is a member of professional organizations, including IALD and IIID, and serves as a visiting faculty member at CEPT University and founder of the Kich School of Design. Her innovative approach to design and lighting continues to shape the industry.
