LIRC Ambassador Spotlight
Dani Senne, Acuity Brands Lighting
As key representatives of LIRC member companies, LIRC Ambassadors are among the highest-visibility profiles in the Lighting Industry Resource Council on the global stage. They work closely with the IALD Region + Chapter Coordinators to engage with the local lighting design community, bolster communications, promote events, encourage networking, and promote the IALD and LIRC.
This edition, we shine the LIRC Ambassador Spotlight on Dani Senne, Director of Industry & Customer Marketing with LIRC member company Acuity Brands Lighting in Atlanta.
A theatrical lighting design graduate, Dani brings over 14 years of experience at Acuity Brands Lighting, where she currently leads the Industry and Customer Marketing team. Her career spans roles in analysis, marketing, training, and events, all driven by her creative and strategic approach.
Dani is a passionate advocate for the lighting community, actively involved in the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), Women in Lighting + Design (WILD), and particularly the IALD Southeast U.S. Chapter, where she will collaborate with local chapter coordinators to foster engagement and networking in the local lighting community.
"I see real value in strengthening the connection between lighting designers and manufacturers at the local 'southeast' level," she shares. "There's so much potential for collaboration, and this role is a great way to help foster that."
"I also want to help make sure LIRC companies feel connected to the Southeast U.S. Chapter and understand how they can contribute and get involved. Whether it's participating in a panel, hosting a tour, or joining a casual meetup, there are so many ways to engage that can add real value to both sides. Ultimately, I want to help build a chapter culture where collaboration is the norm, communication flows easily, and everyone -- designers, manufacturers, and emerging professionals -- feels like they have a seat at the table."
