IALD Rocky Mountain is excited to share that we have secured tickets for a sunset showing of James Turrell's Green Mountain Falls Skyspace in August. We had a group visit to this awesome experience two years ago and are looking forward to hosting another event!
Dinner will be covered by the Rocky Mountain Chapter.
The viewing is mountainside and requires a moderate 20-minute hike from the town base located at 7,800ft. Please dress in layers prepared for the weather and bring a flashlight for the hike down. The experience lasts approximately 50 minutes. You are welcome to bring blankets or seat cushions. Limited ATV rides are available for those unable to hike; please email us to coordinate if needed. Given Skyspace's limited capacity, we can only offer 20 spots and are limited registration to active IALD members only. IALD members of any level may register, including those with pending membership applications.
Our visit is on Saturday, August 24th. Beginning at 5:30 PM we will gather for food and drinks at the Blue Moose Tavern until 7 PM when we will start the group hike for our 7:35 PM ticket time.

With limited tickets, we will be accepting names for a waitlist. Everyone who is registered for the event will receive a confirmation email on Monday, August 19th. You must confirm your attendance by 5:00 PM Tuesday, August 20th or you will forfeit your spot and we will contact a member on the waitlist. We will begin to email waitlist members on Wednesday, August 21st.
