The IALD International Lighting Design Awards

About the IALD Awards

Receiving an IALD Award is universally heralded as the top honor in the lighting design industry. Since its inception in 1983, the IALD International Lighting Design Awards has honored lighting design that reaches new heights, moves beyond the ordinary, and represents excellence in aesthetic and technical design achievement.

The 2024 Call for Entries

The pursuit of an IALD Award begins with the open Call for Entries, which opens on Thursday, 21 December 2023 and closes for standard submissions on Monday, 26 February 2024.

Design firms are encouraged to submit eligible projects through the IALD digital platform (linked below) within the provided submission timeframe. Interested firms are highly encouraged to download and review the Call for Entries Guide (linked below) to gain an understanding of the eligibility criteria that must be met, the project information that must be prepared, and the accompanying materials and releases that must be provided to submit a valid entry.

IMPORTANT: The individual responsible for entering project information on the submission portal must have (or create) an IALD digital platform account to proceed. This individual does not have to be among those credited for the project's lighting design. See the Call for Entries Guide for more information.

We look forward to another extraordinary year of projects to be reviewed!
