The IALD Unveils Its New Digital Platform

The IALD has launched a comprehensive update to the IALD website and data systems, enhancing the functionality and responsiveness of our digital platform, while providing an improved user experience and faster access to valuable professional resources.

Your participation in the new iald.org begins with visiting the site and logging in as a registered user. This welcome applies to IALD members and non-members alike, as well as LIRC member company representatives and other interested lighting design industry professionals: you are all welcome to be a part of our future!

We highly encourage everyone to review this tutorial video on accessing and updating personal accounts, as well as setting personal account preferences, so that you can take full advantage of everything the new site has to offer:

IALD Website Tutorial: Accessing + Updating Accounts

Here are some key features and improvements you’ll be seeing on the new site:

  • Streamlined Navigation. The website's navigation has been simplified to make it more intuitive and user-friendly, ensuring that you can quickly find the information you need.
  • Account Functions In Your Hands. The new portal provides you with tools to update your profile, manage your membership, and access exclusive member-only content. You can also interact with the IALD for important services like open calls for Awards entries or Enlighten Presentations, volunteering opportunities, and more.
  • Improved Access to Events and Education. The website features an easy-to-follow events calendar, showcasing upcoming conferences, workshops, webinars, and continuing education via LERN (Lighting Education Resource Network). You’ll be able to register for global and regional events and access related materials directly through the website.
  • A Site Design Catered to You. The updated website is now optimized for mobile devices, allowing you to access the IALD platform seamlessly, whether you're on your desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
  • Community Discussion Forums. IALD and LIRC members have access to curated and moderated community forums, allowing for open and respectful conversation with your global and regional peers about relevant industry topics, away from the noise and distraction of social media platforms.

We understand the importance of a robust online platform that caters to the needs of our esteemed members and have put a lot of time and effort into its implementation. We are confident that these enhancements will elevate your experience, and contribute to your professional growth.

As new features and services are added to the website, we’ll keep you informed through communications in your inbox and on the site itself. As always, your feedback is valued, so please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any ideas or questions to share.

The IALD is strengthened by the engagement and interaction of talented people like yourself. Thank you for coming with us on this most important step into the future of our association!
